Week of wonders and Goodbyes
Friday, October 24, 2008

Over the past week, I had little access to internet as i normally do. All these due to the fact that my internet modem crashing on that faithful Monday evening. Well, it turned out to be much of a blessing in disguise. Instead of just wasting my time cus the exams are over, I learnt that many things can be done, even without the internet. It also made me spend more time doing TAWG where God really ministered to me for a LONG time. I spent almost 2 hours in a day praying and worshiping. It was just such a great experience.

Isaiah 40:31
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

This verse totally expresses the feelings this week. When i turned to Him, He gave me a renewal of strength and endurance. Those taking their 'O' Levels take heart in this verse!

Then came thursday. Last day of school, tearful goodbyes and maybe to a certain extent some relief. I'll miss some of you guys pretty much. Most of you I'll see next year but some who I will be seeing very less, some even not at all next year. I'll miss the vibe you bring to our class and what made us the 3I that we were.

Though I didn't get to know you well, you've been an awesome person who always brought fun and laughter to our class.

Dylan
Another funny monkey, your actions have always been hilarious with your stupid MTVs, though we may not have made any really ones yet. Your "Manyzer" me, will dearly miss you. Continue to carry the fire of God to your new class :)

Gabriel
You've been an awesome fella with your lame jokes. Continue to artify the place with your passion for the arts. Awesome soccer player who defends like a wall. Always trustworthy and an awesome friend.

Phelan
A computer language expert who was always willing to teach despite my idiotcity in such stuff. He's gone on to take on a new challenge in life taking a private course rather than in the mainstream. I wish you well in your trip to being a top programmer. Food was what he brought to the class with his endless supply of chips and snacks. Always been one that would share, probably will be for the rest of his life.

His one word killer jokes never fails to bring about a stomachache. Often mistaken for a Korean because of his face and his name. my one regret is calling you KB throughout the year. Always tolerant of all my nonsense and did not bear grudges. Though not close, you were a great friend.

Here's a verse especially for the five awesome dudes whom will be dearly missed

Jeremiah 6:16
16 This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.

Wish all of you the best in life and may our paths cross again in this never ending cycle of preasure in this high turbulence nature of Singapore Education.

Though results were pretty good I did not feel that sense of satisfaction cus I know I can do better. well, still achieved and 2nd place in class nonetheless by God's grace.

Enough said about school.

Supposed to meet Joseph at 6.30pm but came outa home earlier to meet some old buddies, Malvin, Nigel and Ashley. We spent loads of time just laughing and stoning at KFC but it was pretty fun. Nigel looking like serial killer as we were walking around later. Sat down at Ya Kun for snack which turned out to be my mini-dinner. Coincidentally met Nat, Justin and Janella there, Nat gave me that suspicious look. And Nat, no she isn't. Went to meet Joseph at raffles place MRT. Weirdest thing to do, i ended up taking the train back to Newton to head to church. Took some shots, rapped up the day and dinner time. Learnt more about Joseph during dinner. Day ended there went home to do some work, turned in late.
