Tests, not so nice results, exhaustion. Sometimes I wonder, is this all worth it? But God, I shall hang in there, I'm not throwing in the towel, I won't.

It's been tough, persecution, temptations, friendships, school, church. I never thought it'd been easy, but neither did I think it'd be that hard. Still I cling on to God's promise.

For he has shown me a humble boat, that has been anchored there for the longest time. Never moving because of the storms, always still, clinging to the seabed as like a lifeline as though the storm would swallow it up. But now it's time for the humble boat to lift it's anchor and move out to sea. To guide bigger vessels back to shore, to be that strength and support in the storm, because this small humble boat was a tugboat. It's purpose to ferry the big ships to shore and docking. Where they too can enjoy the safe anchoring that God shall provide.

I am that humble boat, the tugboat, it's time to move out, to the open seas when storms can smash into me, when sometimes it seems that the big vessels are too large or too heavy.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Amen to that!

Sweet sixteen

Been 4 days since i turned 16. Like to say a big thanks to all who celebrated with me and gave me well wishes. Thanks for the numerous tau poks and awesome lan sessions to the home made food and the attempted cake-smash-on-face.

Friday, prayer group gave me a taupok which was a small peek of what was to come later that day and for the next day. Prayer went on as per normal. In the afternoon I was supposed to be surprised but Josie gave it all away over the phone. Well, was still kind of surprised cus of the homemade food. Though it din't taste anything perfect, the effort put into cooking all but just made up for it, awesome. Thanks Pi Wei and Joseph. Celebrated at Istana park, got tau poked, massive and crazy. Reuben just kept jumping, Justin too. Josie's weight alone almost took this life of mine. Went to play lan at e2Max. Played CSS, got pwned big time D: No fair la Reuben and Justin are like professionals. Anyway, we put up quite a fight considering our standards. Abel was like the camper with an AWP xD not to mention his Deagle. HAHAHA.

Saturday, church as usual, God's presence so unusual. Maybe God decided to bless me a little more that day, cus it was my burthday the previous day. What Bro. Andy preached about came about just as though God was speaking to me.

Sunday, went for lunch with my family, birthday lunch. Humble meal, but something I'd always treasure. Shopped a lil bit later with some fellas then went to Serene to study. After that went to see Xue Er off at the airport.

School

School has started, the monotonous bell rings, the canteen rush, the wild laughter and the air densely diluted in sensitive words. Yeah, it's never been the greatest of things being in an all boys' school. Much less being in one of the not so good classes in the last year of your life there. Homework and exams, it's all part and parcel of school life, ain't it?

It's been a war, a war that tests my everything. It's been stretching and lonesome at times, being in a class that kinda denounces Jesus. Being the only believer in class was never the easiest of tasks, sometimes I feel so out of place that I wish I could be anywhere else but there. Sometimes i brings great joy even sharing. But through it all, I know that I have Christ in me.

Anyway, school has been pretty nonchalant lately, nothing much going on. I've been having many relieve lessons HAH! Yeah that's just great, teachers on MCs and stuff... Started work already, did a compre for english, some math questions, chinese oral (did surprisingly well xP), chem workbook, physics notes.... and the list goes on.

Homework is starting to stream in slowly, did Geogpraphy worksheet on Industry, which i kinda enjoyed :/ I'm a humanities person after all. Oh well, I must say for the 1st homework of the year I had put in an amazing lot of effort into it. Tomorrow I'll be having my 1st history lesson. Just pray that Mrs Tan-Chinh isn't a boring teacher D: amazingly I've had quite a few amazing History teachers last year, each had their share to offer, Mr Kwok drilled the Treaty deep deep in my head, Mr Yap made me uber good at SEQs which i'm quite the thing to beat now :P, Mr (iforgothisname, ohno!) made me improve in SBQ woohoo! From then on I was the complete humanities person.

Well back to the point,I'm looking forward to this year and never turning back! 30 for Christ!

Amen!

Responded to the Battlecall, time to be Rad(i)cal

2008

This year has been a year of renewal and growth, growth like never before. New responsibilities, a new destiny in God, new purposes. The year started off slow and demoralizing. People whom I brought to church the year before were backsliding. Life took a hard knock early this year with more personal issues. However by God's glory and power. Those friends whom backslided were coming back, now growing like never before. The personal issues were also resolved and there was a fresh start. The walls which had crumbled earlier this year was restored and strengthened with that added dose of cement and protection which made it harder to crumble. In fact that is one of the visions I have seen along the closure of this year. God was magnificent throughout the year.

Academically, God too was there to oversee everything. Indeed it has not been by my own strength that I picked up the pieces which were shattered last year, but by the power of God. He's been my refuge and my strength amidst the stress of the works. He's been the comforter when I did not do well. But ultimately he brought about a triumphant spirit in me which has seen me end the academic year on a high. Kudos to my study buddies in Vincent and Yu Quan too who were the physical encouragement and everything else.

Friends didn't come easy in the beginning when I entered into upper sec, gradually God positioned each and every friend I have now at different times. Whether is it through the Family church camp where I got to know Abel and Gid so well, or even through the plentiful holiday outings with Josie, Nat and Abel lately, even as simple as constant weekly meals with Ben. Especially the sleepover gang where they have been an encouragement and of great guidance. Sleepovers, talks at meal times, bonding through games. It's been a ball of a time.

Following are dedicated to you guys :)

Pi Wei: HAH! What can I say! God has His great sense of humor. Used to hate each other so badly in our lower sec year. To think that I invited you to church last year! Though initially you came for wrong reasons. You straightened your thinking and since then have been one of the greatest testimony i can share of. Gifted in the art of breakdancing, you had a dream. A dream to enlighten and teach what it meant to dance for God. Though it may not have been fulfilled this year. It still can happen in the near future. That in itself made me question why we jump when we worship. You brought about that conviction in me, never will I forget that. Your vision to one day be an aspiring leader may be dampened by the fact that you'll be in Aussie for the next few years but I believe God can use you in ways that you have never thought of. Our God is a creative God. As you make headways into Aussie, don't falter but grow to be God's mighty man!

Felix: You came together with Pi Wei, like a buy one get one free package. Whereever he went you followed. Unfortunately followed him out of church too. That was like a double blow to me. As if one was not enough, I lost two! But I have to say, you followed Pi Wei back and gave me double portions of rejoicing maybe even quadripple or more! You've been a great addition to cell this year. It's been just great to have you back. Even as Pi Wei leaves for aussie in about a months time. My prayer is that you'll grow deeper in your relationship with God, such that yours willbe a relationship dependant on God and not on man. It's my cry to also see you step out of your comfort zone and begin to take charge of what God has placed in your hands.

Zhi Han: Though new, your simple faith has amazed me. Though you may not have heard or seen visions of God, you simply believed. Happy by nature, your willy atitude has been like the new lease of life in cell. Your honesty, never holding back anything, has been one of the reason that you've been growing so quickly. Hang in there, press on and I believe that you will reap the rewards for what you have sown in many lives you have spoken into even within this short period.

Kai Liang: It took a lot of courage to come clean and repent. I believe that it is not by chance that it happened, but by divine appointment. That afternoon, was not set by man but simply by the grace of God. I hope to see you more often in service. Thanks for rededicating your life back to the hands of God. Your walk may have been rocky but persevere and you will bear fruits.

Abel: Choking you when you're drinking has been a favourite passtime with you around. Similar to me in character and calling. I believe God orchestrated this friendship. Let's continue to keep accountable and stand strong. Your life has also been a great testimony unto God. Rising up in a year is no mean feat. You need to believe in yourself, be confident in what you do. Do not hesitate and think twice, though at times it is good to be cautious, but when God tells you to go, GO!

Gideon: Joker of the year, LAME JOKE. Yes, it's been great having a friend in you. Your jokes simply bring a smile on anyone's down face. Even a troll would smile after being in company with you! You have such great giftings that cannot be taken for granted. Though you went through some rocky patches in life, do know that I'll always be behind you! The coming year will be better!

Nathanael: You arh! ONE KIND! HAHAHA! Yes indeed you are one of a kind. You're a great person to hang out with. Your ah lian poses, choice of words and FPS playing, all one kind! It's been great knowing you thus far. You supposed to be my study buddy next year but decided to go for another education path instead, do know that you'll always have my support and backing. Continue to be that one kind and be an impact to the hardest of soil. All the best kor kor! HAHAHA Next the epic MAMA Josie.

Joseph/MAMA JOSIE: It's been just wild being in your care. I must say you do make a good mother. From our habbits of sharing loads over mealtimes to our shooting craze together with Nat kor kor. To the impartations you left with me. It's just simply been amazing! Even in camp comm, you were that constant encouragement and I must say mother, remember this "You better make sure you your (camp comm) work first before you come out ok!". As every responsible child would I listened HAHAHA. I think there's more to say than words can describe so I'll give you liberty to continue this section. You have also been the center of all jokes I have to admit, for that I'm sorry cus it's simly too iresistable to tease you HAHAHA.

Tata, 2008! Hello 2009!

P.S. This came early as I won't have time to do it the next day :)

Rad(i)cal

T'week has been quite the awesome thing. Woohoo!

Rad(i)cal Camp for the next 4 days!

Stay tuned!

Today has been pretty much an ordinary day. Morning woke up, exercise a little. Slack alot. Prayed alot, in fact I did a 2 meal fast for camp (1 meal mandatory for camp com for this week). Played Battlefield 2142 for a while cus i was feeling old school. HAHAHA. Evening left home for church to do some final logistics packing for camp (AHH I'm SO EXCITED!!!)

Rad(i)cal!

Joseph was early by 15 minute, me by 7 minutes and tabby by 2 minutes, the rest were late... Joseph actually wanted them to treat us to dinner. Turned out everyone else had dinner before they came. So, too bad hahaha. Once we were done, Joseph and I went to have stingray and Kang Kong, as usual, well of late rather.

Then walked back to church, had to wait for Auntie Jaslyn so i decided to spend my time wisely by being a blessing to the lonely security guard. I had a little chat with him which turned into a little salting. Shared with him quite a bit, which is quite unusual of me to do so with a "stranger". He too shared a little, like his family background, certain reasons which were holding him back from accepting Christ. Though it wasn't successful, I think I have planted a seed somewhere in there. Hopefully one day we'll see him in our adult congregation. Reason being ITS 1 WEEK TO CAMP! Hahaa! Been planning hard, thinking harder, seeking the hardest! So time has been quite an issue.

Ironic I must say how my last post was titled 'Focus', so happens I'm in iFocus, camp group, HAHAHA. This Holiday God has been talking to me about re-aligning my focus in Him. Focus that would not deter under any circumstance. Many a times this year I've been waivering, now it's time to focus, on God and my coming year,2009.

That apart I shall recall what I've been doing as far back as I can remember.

Let's start with Friday, went out with Nat and Joseph. It was pretty fun and FUNNY!! Hahaha Joseph's haircut. Time of sharing over linner (my new term for meal between lunch and dinner). Then we went to play xBox at E2M@x. We took quite a while to set things up. Joseph and his "stop, look, shoot" was hilarious. What was to come was epic.

"Joseph, go take cover and reload la"
"Huh?..... Oh, take cover and reload"

Then when we left there was,

"Eh, where's my phone?" *searches couch and pockets hysterically*
"There, in your hand"
"HAHAHAHA!!"

SO we left happily, went for B&J's Ice Cream! Joseph's treat. Talked even more. Then movie, Bolt! I love that movie hahaha. Best cartoon flick ever, very hilarious. Especially Rhino the Hamster (rofl)! After movie we chatted more and more then I went home.

Saturday, morning, bugged by some people who msn-ed me asking for their groupings while doing some designs for something important. Afternoon went to church discussed publicity, then I went to brief the leaders for camp. Didn't do much. Just sit behind to listen. The leaders are quite funny people. I shan't reveal any jokes here because they concern camp activities. Had to leave cus I was serving. Then went down to chapel to prepare. Meiyan was late and she didn't tell me to bring a tie. Well, Fang and I ended up serving with no tie. Then I cracked a joke about Samuel's tie. JUST A JOKE cus Samuel's tie design was of a world map.

"Psst.. Eh Julian, Samuel no money to buy tie so fold his Geography World map to use as tie"
"HAHHAA"

Then Samuel came looking for me hahaha. Then he laughed at the joke too.

Served, did pubs, stayed back for GL/AGL meeting. Quite funny, especially during the GL-AGL pairing. Then sister Jerlyn made a super weird drawing and folded aeroplane. Then Ariel was poking me with her aeroplane. Then she even asked me to make one to see who's was better, mine flew 1 row of seats further HAHAHA.

Sunday, woke up early, went to church, did publicity again. Raymond came for Ignyte service for the 1st time, well done Kai Liang :D i'm prouda ya! After service, had camp com logs packing. Was very fun. Then cus we had some missing logs, I went with Sis. Kim and Bro. Andre to buy them (get, for some). 1st item, cardboard boxes. It was super funny! Sis Kim drove to serene to pick up some leftover cardboard boxes. So happened when we were arriving we saw a dumpster. The following was dumbly hilarious.

"OH NO!!!!"
"Huh?"
"Drive drive drive! Faster!! Drop us behind the embassy!"
*Bro. Andre and I chiong out of car*
"STOP!!!!!!"
*Dumpster people give us the ?_____? face*
"We need some cardboard boxes"
"okay"
*Happily walked back in the car*
"HAHAHAHA" *Sister Kim laughs hysterically*
"I thought the both of you scared of the smell"
"No, cus they want to clear the cardboard boxes already!"

Thank God for that awesome timing. Had we stopped 1 traffic light more, we would be too late. Continued packing stuff, we were on schedule. So, went to have dinner. Went home, waited anxiously for my GL to call. No call, so i'm still anxiously waiting.

Focus

Haven't been updating this for quite some time due to my uber packed schedule. Its been raining responsibilities after responsibilities. It's been tiring yet rewarding.

Tuesday, had a meeting to plan for the upcoming CH empowerment, funny how it seems that I'm in committee after committee. Had lunch, well dessert actually, at Adam hawker. Janella and I finished like 5 fruits. I ate less than her though, funny it may seem. Then meeting was pretty bad :/ Everyone was like Haruki this Haruki that. Was quite annoyed haha, but i took it in my stride. We walked to Botanics to check the place out. Then when meeting ended, went to Samina's place, from there we left for Orchard. Ate at Cineleisure, Chet Nat and I ate 2 servings. Then everyone was burping on coke. Then we left that place and walked to Plaza Sing. Walked around quite abit. Went to Yamaha for quite a while. Then home :)

PHOTOS

Wednesday, Nat, Jan and I went to Chet's place. Played COD4 there, realized Chet's COD was noly version 1.1 when there's alrdy 1.7 available. Well it was still quite fun raked a 25 kill 5 death round which was quite awesome considering i've not played for quite some time. We discovered a rare talent. Janella! She could navigate around on her 1st attempt in an FPS game, normally people would be either looking to the ground or to the sky at their 1st attempt. She even killed 4 people, well at the expense of 18 deaths though. Funny how she killed the 1st person. Well, then I had camp com meeting so I left earlier. Meeting went so smoothly we ended earlier than expected.

PHOTOS

Thursday, met Gideon for movie, Madagascar 2, Abel couldn't make it cus he was told last minute that he had to serve during SP empowerment that evening. Well movie was good, fellowship with an ol' buddy was better. Met Adriel and Nat at The Cathay, they forced me to pay $10 for a 3 scoop ice cream. We headed to church from there, well i stopped over at Adam Hawker to meet Ben for dinner. We were just on time. See Ben I told you i am a master of time and your SPC trip coulda cost us our punctuality. SP empowerment was a renewing of something so important yet often left unsaid. The Great Commission. What a way to kick start 2009 before it even begins. Then went for supper at Adam Hawker with Joseph, Fuwei, Sister Jerlyn, Sister Esther, Ben, Nat and Janella, had stingray and kangkong. I had 2 and 3/4 bowl of rice, coulda eaten more if not for time. Thanks Joseph for the rice and everything else. And admit it you said Bro Andy was fat. hohoho. Evil Joseph.

Friday, pretty much the plain old friday, what could I expect haha. Well. Stonned quite abit Played quite abit. I got quite agitated with almost everything. Calmed down much after ball. Went to Ariel's place for lunch. Natty wetty and jelly were there too. YAY! I finally proved my worth by beating Janella at driving. See I told you it was just the steering wheel I was not acustomed to. Nat was nonsensically pathetic at driving. He still could criticize Janella saying he'd never let her drive his car. Well turns out he wasn't much better himself. Well Nat, looks like your car would be left in the carpark, no one would be driving it. Well in any case. Ariel (Samina's) mum makes quite awesome pasta. <3 the chunks of tomatoes. We headed to church soon after, cus some of them had to be there early.

Service, I think we really need more seats in the chapel! The guys and I had to sit all the way behind! We are growing. Haha. More importantly, the message was very very timely. Bro Andy, my deepest condolences goes to you and your family over the loss of your grandma. P. Gary's message spoke to me. It really reminded me of how God made use of the little that I had. Much could be seen when I joined CH up till now. When I first started off I had almost completely nothing, except a heart that was all ready to serve but didn't know how to. However He gave me mentors, He gave me leaders, who were key in my upbringing to where I am today. Looking from where I started till where I am today, I must say one thing. God is faithful.

Dinner was sumptuous. Had it at westlake restaurant, it was simply splendid there. Zhi Han's mum owns the place. Side note, Pi Wei all along thought Hans belonged to Zhi Han. How naive haha.

Sunday, woke up early again, this time for service. This time God spoke another message through the same message. Afternoon, had lunch, then we did games testing. Now i'm simply too tired to type anymore about today.

Genesis 12

Yesterday:

Went out early, had lunch with Kinnon, Ariel Mae, Janella and Nathanael. Nathanael was uber late. Had hokkien mee. I was all scared when Ariel told me Janella has a tendency to fumble with soupy food. She did fumble with her Korean soup after all that faithful Sunday evening. Worse of all I was right opposite her.

After lunch, we walked around Orchard, we went up and down and escalator to take photos unfortunately they were not very clear. Jan couldn't stop playing with my camera even on the streets. Took loads of random shots. Went to cenileisure to check out movie times. None fitted our schedule. Went to arcade. I was quite hesitant to spend there but still eventually wasted $2 there HAHAH. Kinnon had O levels and Nat had piano lessons.

The 3 of us that were left decided to crash Ariel's place, played some demo game. Jan thrashed me D: wait til we rematch with the remote! HAHAHA. No one was at home except Pepper, Ariel's dog. Had more fun playing with Pepper than with the xbox hahaha.

Ariel had SP interview so Jan and i went to macs. Rain started. Ariel joined us back at macs, Kinnon came soon after. Told us he was late by 2 minutes and how he just slipped on his uniform and took his exam. They had a tough time deciding where to eat.

I went on for camp com meeting which was so hilarious.

Bro Andy: who's doing _____?
Sister Raine: erm, Haruki and Brenda very free.
Bro Andy: HARUKI!
Me: yeah?(blurly)
Bro Andy: you'll be doing _____.
Me: okay..... HUH?!
Bro Andy: Don't worry la I'll assist you. I'll do 80% you'll do 20%.
Sis kassey: No la brother Andy, you'll do 20%, He'll do 80%
Me: okay....HUH?!
Me: Err, okay....

____ shall not be released until camp hahaha.

Then Joseph slapped my right arm twice. Once for saying he needed the 10cents to pay the agency to get his vietnamese bride and the other for calling him Josie~

HAHAHA, rest well Joseph, hang in there.

PHOTOS

Today:

woke up early, couldn't sleep, God knows why. Had a prayerton this morning. Just asking for direction and wisdom and strength to juggle so many responsibilities, SP duties, CH, Camp com. Transitions and more transitions. Putting me on the spot as always, but worse this time round. God led me to Genesis 12:1-5

The Call of Abram
1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.

3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."

4 So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.

Abram (Abraham) left his comfort zone too (country, father's household, people) but neither fear nor faltered, never did he look back. Why should I then?

Amazing insight from God from a verse as simple and often over repeated. A new season has begun sacrifices have to be made, time will be drained, much energy needed but God will sustain me.

Jeremiah 16:19 (extracted)
O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress

Chatted with Meiyan through lunchtime on msn. Talked dumb stuff like trees and Pines and ANGSANA hahaha. Made up weird theories for her, haha, we encouraged each other and challenged one another. Amazing what the wonders of msn does in this mordern age.

Slept and stoned and had Ben & Jerry's til now.

Clouds and Bananas

Today, went to church in the morning to do Christmas decorations. It was really fun haha. We managed to complete what was supposed to be a 3 day work. Praise God! And too bad for the wednesday thursday people HAHAHA.. Thank goodness i changed to today :D

Anyway we basically sticked 3M tapes on all the ceilings which were available, well, the lower ones of course. Han, Wei and Nat were smacking each others nipples the whole day. Especially Han and Wei. And Han was a racist as he always is. The girls gave us goosebumps when they sang HSM3 songs. Well at least Wei had goosebumps. I had to stand under the air con to "make some". You get what I mean, Air con, goosebumps, okay never mind.

Lunch, ah how can a big eater like me forget about lunch. We has chicken rice, with a twist, there was chicken but the rice was duck rice rice. Duck rice rice, okay that will take you some time to get what I mean. Kinnon was super generous, he bought drinks for everyone. I wanted to chip in $10 cus i felt bad. But he declined D:

After that i practically slacked for almost half an hour. They were hanging the long long things down the stairway. My group was the last, but well eventually we didn't even hang it up. What a waste.

Then we had to do the ladder job. To think that I was made to do it when there were many many other taller ones around. It was all dirty and dusty, especially the church doors. Argh I leaned on 1 and had like 1 long black line. Took me quite some time to wash it off.

Well the job was very well done. What can I say, we, the youths of Ignyte are efficient. Bravo!

Then we went to play at CCAB. Nat, Janella, Meiyan and I had arranged the day before. Until Meiyan PANGSEH-ed us to play tennis for some reason... Ended up playing soccer 1st. I was like super lousy, cus i'm like unfit. Had a few good chances squandered cus of my slow acceleration. Oh well, i scored one goal in the end as a consolation.

Took ages till Janella, Nat and Kinnon to arrive, Justin was there too. Started playing. Played hard, laughed harder. Hahaha I played with doubles with Kinnon on my team and Nat and Janella were our opponents, okay haha they were super funny. They had loads of miscommunications. Then Kinnon and Nat teamed up against Lester and me. We were thrashed flat. Nat only scored a point though, Kinnon did most of the damage. Or should I say, all but 1 of them. Oh well had a few singles match too lol. I beat Janella 15-14, close call phew! In your face Lester! Then Joshua beat me like 15-8. He cheated much though. He was like using the fact that there was no net to give me cheap shots. How annoying. If a net was there I'd beat him any day!

Supposed to eat dinner with Kinnon, Janella and Nat. Ended up at home instead cus my parents were in a bad mood. Oh well, better luck tomorrow. Well at least this time I told them I'd be out the whole day!

Going out tomorrow! Wee!

Picture call:

Me!

Everyone watching Joshua cheat to beat me >:O

The Thrashed

The victorious (Nat scored just 1 point)

Candid moment of today goes to Nat!

Shot of the day, courtesy of Janella

More of Today can be found here

Thrashing

Spent the past few hours clearing stuff in this computer. After meeting we had CH interview. I was pretty shaky when it was my turn to do the interview. Hahaha. Meiyan was simply staring at the "script" and she went," eh what's the attire for guys arh?" That shocked the bai ka hahaha. Service talked about how to make your life count. Alter call, I reaffirmed my calling and wanted strength to remain resolute.

Went to Thompson Plaza with my family after that, had dinner. Sis wanted to buy her spectacles. Fancy the irony, i use the computer so much but I don't wear spectacles. Whereas the rest of my family members do.

Sunday, went for Webmedia meeting. Some shocking changes, some awesome new objectives for year 2009. Now I can't wait to get the year started! After that I shared cab with John Ho and Matthew (2 AF dudes). Then the taxi driver was like," you all in army ah?" Then i was pretty shocked! Then he was like why you(refered to me) no need cut hair ah?" Then I joked that I was in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. He believed for a moment til John Ho had to pop my ego bubble with a sentence," no la, he's still a secondary school kid." Then the taxi driver got racist as we were approaching PL, we stopped next to a traffic light with a police car with 2 malays inside and started being racist. Talking about cisoco only having malays and the civil defence and so on. Then he went on to NS. and blah blah blah til we reached PL.

LCE, was simply funny, DL teacher's led us for an example of how next year's DL services would be like. HILARIOUS! It was also a time of checking of my heart, I guess I am partially guilty of having the Onan factor of Leadership. I shoulda let Moses be released as a PSP a long time ago.

After LCE, took a bus to Bishan with Ryan, Ben, Meiyan and Janella. Sis Raine was with us til serangoon area where she lived. She was like," Ok ok I show ya'll my house." Everyone was expecting some terrace semi D like thing cus she said she'd show it to us. Turned out to be HDB flat near where i play soccer. HAHAHA. Continued the trip all the way to Bishan. Ben and Ryan Pang seh-ed us cus they had to be home for dinner, Nat was gonna join us.

Ate at the food court. Had omelette chicken for dinner. Lent Meiyan $7.50 in all. MEIYAN DON'T FORGET YOU OWE ME. Oh and i forgot to collect a dollar from the rest for fruits. Had an awesome time of sharing. From love stories to scary encounters to random things. Oh and fun with rhythm banging on the table. And occassional screams which made the rest of the public stare at us. HILARIOUS! And of course Jacking meiyan. Her brain standard kept fluctuating. Worse then stock prices. From a Mac she dropped to DOS to even Noah's Ark and then to a Sampan and donkey and an elephant. Beat that! Mos code was the funnest! Nat, Janella and I had our's stuck at windows XP. Meiyan was so blur she couldn't tell apart a glass door from a glass wall. She stood in front of a glass wall for seconds. Janella had to show her the glass door.

That paragraph is almost a tribute to the almighty blur Meiyan. God give her wisdom. xD

HEY, what was shared within that table stays within that table OKAY!

Went home did some work went to bed.

Holiday Fever

Give Me Your Eyes - Brandon Heath

As expected the holidays just got better as it goes. Best thing has to be God's imminent presence daily. Saturday, church, never as usual, always different. Fuel we talked deeper in depth about fasting. Wei Don came again, hope to see him more often and frequently in church. Service message was so strong. Passion, Perseverance always important in a relationship with God. Alter call had to be one moment of refreshing and committing myself to God's plans. He reminded me of the plans he has for me. Plans that I have been running away from, fearing to lose my comfort as I am enjoying now. God showed me a glimpse of me, a Humanitarian or a missionary, whichever suited the vision he showed me. Hard to believe and understand. Why? Why not something I can do within my reach, like reaching out to some folks here, locally. God reminded me of this song more importantly the chorus.

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
Ones that are far beyond my reach.
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see

Now i shall not doubt any further, if God is for me, who can be against me?

Sunday, woke up early to pack my stuff for the chalet. 1st thing we did was breakfast at macs. Didn't have much since I already had mine at home. We went out to rent bicycles for the rest of our stay. Had lunch which was kinda pathetic, well, at least for the price we paid it was a pittance. Then we went to the arcade. I mostly just played the basketball machine. Other than that I had some fun with the Japanese throw-ball-at-screen-game. Christopher, Joel (Poh and Loh), Wen Xuan, Lin Chun and Ying Hao were there. Then Zachary, Jun Yong and Chee Chin(bird) joined us. We caught a movie. Alas! High School Musical 3! Movie was great. But it left me thinking, is life ever so perfect like that? Well, maybe not. I love Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) hahaha. Okay that was random. Remember this?

Oh well, back to the point, after movie we went back to the chalet. Had nothing to do. I brought J Loh, Jun Yong, Chee Chin, Zachary, Wen Xuan out for a ride. Joel learnt how to ride a bike! With the help of yours faithfully and most importantly, Zachary who was teaching like a father would. Rain started, cycled in the rain. Accidently splatted some mud on the back of my shirt for going too fast. But it was pretty fun riding in the rain. Went back to BBQ, many thanks to Christopher's mother who made her way all the way to the chalet to be our head chef. well, I wasn't doing too bad either before she came. I did some perfect Otah(s)! After BBQ, I brought Chee Chin, J Loh, Jun Yong and Wen Xuan out for another go since the rain had died down and the weather was just marvelous. We had 4 bikes, 5 people. I volunteered to tompang Jun Yong but he complained the my bike was too "sharp" and his buttocks were aching. Jun Yong then shared with Chee Chin. They were looking super gay, cycling together, falling together. At certain point one would opt to run. We cycled to the end and back. Isaac and Hao Zhi were back at the chalet waiting for me. Thus, I had to go a second round that night. Altogether i cycled approximately 4 rounds around the whole Pasir Ris park yesterday. My buttocks were aching after all that. Then when everyone left, Those staying overnight (Christopher, Joel (Poh and Loh), Wen Xuan, Lin Chun and myself) decided to find something to do instead of sleeping. Went to Ehub! Last movie was at 12am,we just missed it by 15 mins or so. Headed to the bowling alley, all lanes were taken, went back to the chalet, the rest played cards while I went to sleep.

Monday, nothing much happened, we returned our bikes. We were utterly dismayed by the vendors working etiquette clearly the signboard stated he opens at 10am but he only came in 45 mins later. We were supposed to check out by 10.30am But ended up leaving the room only at 11.20am. Went home, slept, dinner till i ended up here.

:)

Aftermath of a bombastic weekend

Half dead from the weekend I had, I woke up to an SMS from Zhi Han asking if I'd like to have lunch with him and Pi Wei. Agreed and met them at Novena, Darwin and Edward were also there. We had Wee Nam Kee chicken rice. Great chicken rice only second to Pow Sing in serangoon gardens. Then we went to Novena square to do their photoshoot for the piggy bank competition. People were staring at us, especially me, squatting in the middle of a walkway. Darwin's luaghter fueled mine and i had to take several shots before i got a good stable, non-skaky one.

We made our way to marina square to have a game of bowling which turned out to be more of a time of throwing balls into drains. On the way, Pi Wei was biting Zhi Han like mad hahaha. People stared at us. Some ought to be thinking," Is that dude gay?" Tried to keep a distance from them when they were doing that so as not to be thought of as one of those weirdos hahaha. Then at Marina Square. Zhi Han tried to act the almighty tour guide giving us lousy directions but we eventually found our way to the bowling alley. Thanks Zhi Han for ur lousy directions D:

At the bowling alley, we were shooting blanks all of us getting low scores. I shall not reveal my score. It was pathetic that's for sure. Left the alley for the MRT, Pi Wei continued biting Han. With onlookers aroused by the noise we made. Even in the MRT Pi Wei didn't stop. What can I say, we have the thickest skin. Thicker than those of rhino's. Then headed for Newton to catch a bus to Serene. At Serene, I had a serious 1 to 1 MAN TALK with Zhi Han over his issues with PONG, turns out it ain't that bad as Pi Wei reckoned. Then we got on with talking on some down to earth stuff till Hannah came.

Haha the purpose of going to macs was actually to meet hannah to help her out with this week's camp com pubby. Come for service this sat to get what i mean ;) And NO, Lester, I'm not migrating. Well, yeah, met Lester, Ariel and janella who just had a game of badminton. Later pastor Gary came with Sister Eileen and someone who i don't know xD Thank God Hannah's task was not that daunting. I actually wasn't much of a help except for my ranting and detailed-ness and erm, tidyness? Haha we wrapped up by 6.45. Took 156 home, slept midway, woke up before my stop (phew!).

Imagine 2 boys with money all over them.........

I'm sorry ladies, those RICH dudes are taken (by each other)

The Holidays, The Spending Spree, The Upsets

Imagine me without you
I'd be lost and so confused
I wouldn't last a day
I'd be afraid without you there to see me through
Imagine me without you
Lord, you know it's just impossible
Because of you
It's all brand new
My life is now worth while
I can't imagine me without you

I auto filled my IPod yesterday, putting in random songs yesterday by accident. This song, Imagine me without you, just happened to be inside. The chorus really struck me. Never did i think what would I be without God. He's given meaning to my life when I was a confused primary school kid who had no purpose. He's given new perspective in life. Now, I can't imagine life without God.

Saturday was tiring but God renewed strength just like a pit-stop in a marathon where water is provided. Service spoke to many including myself. Reminded of my purpose and future. After service, went to Adam Hawker for dinner. Sis varina, Han, Felix and I had stingray. Kai Liang just had murtabak ( don't really noe how to spell it hahaha). Amazing thing was his ferocious thirst for Teh Tarik. He ordered 2 cups, both from different stalls. Went to Serene, Pi Wei and Joel were already breaking and sweating like mad. Han and I were bored, went down to macs, lent him $0.70 to buy a cone. We sat there chatting for who knows how long. Went up and they were still dancing. Went home with Lester who forced me to take 165. Well, it was just about the same haha.

Sunday, woke up late. Left immediately for church, didn't realize the time. (thought it was 1pm alrdy when i reached there only found out when I reached there) Went to macs to have nugggets forgetting I had ordered lunch with the camp com alrdy. Thank God they were just filling. Tim had Bandung that tasted like chin chow. He ordered a "special order", shocked the person taking his order. He wanted a triple cheese burger but ended up paying $0.30 more for just simply an additional slice of cheese or two. Poor Tim. meeting ended at 4, rushed home. Went to the Night Safari. Was too tired to really enjoy it. But, it was quite fun haha.

Today, woke up at 9.30am and chiong-ed to Plaza Sing Levis to get the trade-in-your-old-jeans-for-$50-discount. Gave them my really old pair which i hardly wore anyway. Took me quite some time to choose the pair i wanted. Had to get it altered, sheesh altering takes a good whole month! Well alomst, it'll be done by 18th Nov. Craving for shopping didn't stop there, ended up buying 2 Tees from T-shirt Design Graniph and formal pants which i really needed. Wanted to catch HSM3 but realized I was broke by then.

That's why I'm home blogging hahaha. Now i'm counting how much I have spent.

Saturday

Dinner - $4

Hair wax- $25

Sunday

Lunch - $6 (nugget+chicken rice)

Night Safari Admission - $22

Tram Ride - $10

Monday

Jeans - $79 (after discount)

Tees - $56

G2000 Pants - $63

Total: $265

Gosh, I really am broke now.

Couple of shocks this week in the EPL

Juande Ramos was sacked

Harry Redknapp took the Spurs job

Harry Redknapp led spurs to their 1st win of the season.

Man Utd drew Everton.

Liverpool beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Happy and sad. Happy that Their 80+ home record was broken. Sad that Man Utd were not the one to accomplish that feat.

Week of wonders and Goodbyes

Over the past week, I had little access to internet as i normally do. All these due to the fact that my internet modem crashing on that faithful Monday evening. Well, it turned out to be much of a blessing in disguise. Instead of just wasting my time cus the exams are over, I learnt that many things can be done, even without the internet. It also made me spend more time doing TAWG where God really ministered to me for a LONG time. I spent almost 2 hours in a day praying and worshiping. It was just such a great experience.

Isaiah 40:31
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

This verse totally expresses the feelings this week. When i turned to Him, He gave me a renewal of strength and endurance. Those taking their 'O' Levels take heart in this verse!

Then came thursday. Last day of school, tearful goodbyes and maybe to a certain extent some relief. I'll miss some of you guys pretty much. Most of you I'll see next year but some who I will be seeing very less, some even not at all next year. I'll miss the vibe you bring to our class and what made us the 3I that we were.

Joel
Though I didn't get to know you well, you've been an awesome person who always brought fun and laughter to our class.

Dylan
Another funny monkey, your actions have always been hilarious with your stupid MTVs, though we may not have made any really ones yet. Your "Manyzer" me, will dearly miss you. Continue to carry the fire of God to your new class :)

Gabriel
You've been an awesome fella with your lame jokes. Continue to artify the place with your passion for the arts. Awesome soccer player who defends like a wall. Always trustworthy and an awesome friend.

Phelan
A computer language expert who was always willing to teach despite my idiotcity in such stuff. He's gone on to take on a new challenge in life taking a private course rather than in the mainstream. I wish you well in your trip to being a top programmer. Food was what he brought to the class with his endless supply of chips and snacks. Always been one that would share, probably will be for the rest of his life.

Jun Yong
His one word killer jokes never fails to bring about a stomachache. Often mistaken for a Korean because of his face and his name. my one regret is calling you KB throughout the year. Always tolerant of all my nonsense and did not bear grudges. Though not close, you were a great friend.

Here's a verse especially for the five awesome dudes whom will be dearly missed

Jeremiah 6:16
16 This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.

Wish all of you the best in life and may our paths cross again in this never ending cycle of preasure in this high turbulence nature of Singapore Education.

Though results were pretty good I did not feel that sense of satisfaction cus I know I can do better. well, still achieved and 2nd place in class nonetheless by God's grace.

Enough said about school.

Supposed to meet Joseph at 6.30pm but came outa home earlier to meet some old buddies, Malvin, Nigel and Ashley. We spent loads of time just laughing and stoning at KFC but it was pretty fun. Nigel looking like serial killer as we were walking around later. Sat down at Ya Kun for snack which turned out to be my mini-dinner. Coincidentally met Nat, Justin and Janella there, Nat gave me that suspicious look. And Nat, no she isn't. Went to meet Joseph at raffles place MRT. Weirdest thing to do, i ended up taking the train back to Newton to head to church. Took some shots, rapped up the day and dinner time. Learnt more about Joseph during dinner. Day ended there went home to do some work, turned in late.

Wacky weekend

Sat was awesome hahaha though embarrassing. Had to do stupid stuff which sought of threw my face. I was laughing like mad at myself. What a dumb thing to do hahahaha. Anyway we can early to prepare for the skit ended up spending too much time on taking the weird shots which were also meant for the Publicity stint that day. WooHoo three cheer to the camp com who did ever so well despite some hiccups. Service really spoke to me. Pastor Johnathan's message was like the right message for me cus the holidays are starting and i'll be starting to slack. So, he spoke about authority and how we people of today have been "deprived" of authority and easily accepting lies from Satan who sometimes uses people or even our minds to deliver his message. The practical steps to even use authority was very well said and I used it the next morning.

Sunday, couldn't really wake up, was really TIRED (not). So I applied saturday's message and drove tiredness out of my mind. Woke up afresh, excited and re-enegergized! We did the publicity skit again this time, better with less fumbles and more humor. Thing is my piggy bank DIDN'T make the OINK sound it supposed to.

After all this people have been asking me:" Is that piggy bank yours?" For a millionth time, the answer is NO. Though after the past 2 days I've been fiddling around with it and quite liked the cute sound it made when a coin's dropped into it.

Awesome weekend, Pictures please!

I supposed to be riding piggy, ended up looking like i'm pooping

Dumbfounded

Speechless

Aside from the enjoyable moments, Today on my bus ride i was reminiscing upon how bad I am at science and to a certain extent math. Thinking what the future would be for me. Being an arts student isn't easy. Especially in a school like mine where it ain't easy to be one when we are simply put there because of our grades in sec 2. Thus we are considered to be the not so good people. Mixed with all the bad influences and stereotyping that all of us are the same. Time and time again I tell myself, Haruki, you are different, much of this self talk didn't help as much as i thought it would. Though its pretty true that i have spent a little too much time on my Humanities subjects which I enjoy, I did try my best, only to get those lousy grades.

Well God didn't have to do much of a change in heart but simply reminded me of the verse.

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. [Jeremiah 29:11]

God holds my future, Amen!

Post Exam

Haven't been blogging for days, Tuesday, got my results back, some were awesome some were just plain standard and some were horrible. Generally i didn't do too badly, neither did i do too well.

Wednesday was worse, they brought people in to talk about STI and AIDS/HIV. What is school coming to become these days! Oh well i slept through the whole presentation but still understood what they were talking about generally cus it was pretty much spoken by P. Gary during the weekend. Didn't have much of an afternoon, went out like in the early evening to church for a paint job hahaha. Pretty fun and messy and well someone lazy. xD

Thurs was just a day of nothingness. Had math lesson today, what a bore. Sec 1s get to go to the zoo. Speaking of which its been quite some time since I've been there. Other than that I was stoning in school. Came home to more nothingness so I had some time to ponder over certain things and have some quiet time.

And here I am blogging away to spend my pastime.

Wei Don's Birthday

Well Wei Don's Birthday was celebrated right after church. We took 2 buses only then realizing we had gone in circles just to reach Great World. Then we went to Macs to have dinner. tsk, should have gone to somewhere nicer since it was Wei Don's Birthday. We bought a cake, our food and it all went wrong when DUBAI SIM JING DENG sat on it with his filthy rich backside. Being a nice fella though, he bought us another similar cake. So we had a "free" cake. Then everyone decided to use that spoilt cake as a dessert or in some circumstances for some fun and laughter. It's really amazing just how Wei Don enjoyed being soiled by the cake on his face. I utterly could not stand those people staining his face, much less Johsua Aw staining his underwear. I think if it was me I'd not be so sporting but Wei Don being the nice and innocent friend of ours simply said "It thought this was the birthday formality what?"

Ah well after that we went to look for a spot to cut the cake cus macs were prolly fuirous for the mess we created. So we found an empty stairway to just tau pok Wei Don and sing him his birthday song. We then came out of that super warm and stuffy place to cut the cake and eat it. The cake was quite splendid but i just did not have the appetite to have more than 1 petite serving.

We caught Eagle Eye at 9.45pm. Quite a good show though it reminds me that computers may one day just overpower us human beings. The movie ended at like 12+. We took some pictures retarded ones and well, a group photo courtesy of a GV staff who took the picture for us. Thank God for Brandon's parents who gave me a lift home or I'd be home super late.

Well enough said! More importantly, CH meeting was great, it really refreshed me on my purpose on joining CH and a timely reminder that CH was MY ministry. What really gave me the most enlightenment was when P.Gary mentioned that we as CH are the first to be sent into the battlefield, weakening the grounds, in this case opening the hearts of the newcomers with our warmth. This is shall strive for from this day on!

Fuel was marvelous that day though many turned up late ;P we touched on the aspect of prayer, this was also spot on for my mates on that afternoon as Pi Wei who is pretty new, learnt the truth about prayer and what it meant to God, it was also really a great time of sharing within the buzz group as everyone shared the significance of 'The Lord's Prayer' to them. It really made me relook at what I do during morning assembly, especially during the morning prayer. Never did I really place any significance on it cus it was more of a routine, one that was boring. But from now, morning prayer, well at least for 'The Lord's Prayer' part, shall now bear a significance to me. But ultimately, i believe everyone learnt something yesterday.

In service, P.Gary spoke about how the World is stealthly influencing our walk with God, it really served as a stern reminder of the boundaries we ought to live by, not even threading by the grey lines. Well, I also have to relook at the music i listen to cus music some music have a certain meaning behind each and every verse and chorus. Therefore, till further notice, my blog music shall be changed to one that is of Godly worth. The example of how David almost fell from glory was a great example of how one would lose it all in just a moment of folly [2 Samuel 11:1-4]. The three main point that would be derived when one falls into this trap would be:

-Abandoning of purpose
-Fousing on own desires rather than God's desires for you in life
-Sin deliberately

Keys to build defensive line:
1.Flee from temptation [1 Corinthians 10:13]
a.Run from compromising situations
b.Run from Godless conersations, no values, very rampant in schools
2.Guard your mind and emotions [Proverbs 2:11]
a.accountability
b.Fear of God [Psalms 119:11]
c. Giving your best time to God

I practically summarised what P. Gary was preaching about haha. Awesome words.

Post Exam Activity

Today was AWESOME, day started rarely late for me, woke up at around 10am. Mum called and asked me to go to town to pass her her passport. Then I went to Novena to meet Wei and Wee Keong, then off to Wei's house for some fun. There we did some fun stuff, we did some break dancing where i learnt some footwork and the Helicopter. It was pretty cool! Then the both of them did some boxing. Till we got bored we decided to go out for some not so fresh air.

We went for a lil snack at Scotts Road, then decided to walk around the area. Then we went to Isetan, I intended to get a top from Topman but realized that it had closed down D: then we went to Shaw to grab a drink. I had Lemon and Lime ice blended Wee Keong had his chocolate milk tea and Pi Wei ordered the weirdest, lychee ice blended. His tasted awful, awfully sweet till the extent no one wanted to have any of his hahaha. Then since we were there and had nth to do, we decided to catch a movie. Then came the problem, we couldn't decide on a movie, so we were deciding between 3 movies, Connected, Painted, and MaMa Mia. Then we did the dumbest thing ever we did a OBEI SOM, that black white thing which people normally use to split teams. I ended up representing MaMa Mia and won so we just bought the tickets and then another problem, the choice of drink. tsk, this time wee keong won and we had pepsi. Fancy the irony, we just had a drink a few moments earlier.

MaMa Mia turned out to be a great movie, i love the storyline and the complete strangeness of scene and everything else. Imagine having three father's for starters, then having them at ur wedding makes it worse. Well, the show ended off pretty weirdly, still not knowing who her dad really is. I think if i were to direct that movie, i'd make them all go for a DNA test to check it out. But the movie was ultimately still hilarious and the soundtracks were out of this world :D Actually the movie is so goodi wouldn't mind watching it again! So any of u guys catchin the movie and wouldn't mind me tagging along just count me in! kekeke.

Then we went looking for food cus it was alrdy 7 when we came out of the cinema so we headed for Plaza Sing for our dinner. Everything pretty much ended there haha. Looking forward to celebrating Wei Don's belated birthday tomorrow! It's gonna be another blast!

Ciao!

EOYs are over!

Today marks the end of the EOYs, the end of those dreadful late night studying and endless things to remember. Having gone through what seemed like the mock O levels exams, I finally get the feeling of the intensiveness within the hall, NOT. The hall was fun haha i had the seat on the first column right at the back of the hall. It was pretty cooling there as the fan was like just behind me. The only thing that worries me now are my results. Just wonder how i will fare for such an exam. In any case knowing that i've done my best and my life is in God's gracious hands.

Psalms 121:7-8

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Anyway nothing much happened today, just had a meal with Yu Quan, Edgar and Daniel. As usual we chatted and ate like every other time we come together. Then I came home and played CA with Yu Quan for a while. I pretty was pretty much as rusty as expected. But so what? It was just for some good clean fun. My whole after pretty much passed quite slowly as expected with nothing much to do.

Then, Benedict came asking me to do up his blogskin for him (tsk..Now he owes me an ice cream from Island Creamery :D) And i also found time to chat with friends i have lost contact with for quite some time. HAHA, i was multi tasking betweeen a few convos. Then as usual i switched the teeveee on and watched away! Coming to right now when i am typing this.

That's a wrap! I hope tomorrow would be a little bit more interesting :) Oh, and there's no school tomorrow WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

Good Night!

Dad's Birthday

HAAAH! Today's my dad's Birthday, he's 54 now. Just had a simple celebration. I got him the earphones for his handphone cus he'd rather use them than bluetooth. Well the one he was using was kinda worn out so i got him a new 1. (how thoughtful of me)

Today is also unofficially the end of my exams, left chinese, which can't be studied, in my opinion. Well, it didn't go as smoothly as i thought it would, A math was a killer and the only subject I am in danger of failing. Though partially it kinda gave me more confidence to do math as i was able to do and COMPLETE the Binomial question.

Other than these today was pretty nocholant, rain-slack, hungry-eat. Haha, typical boring day.

Can't wait to see the relieve on everyones' faces tomorrow. And mine.

Grand Central

Once again i'm creating a blog.
